image from my final dress shoot.
ive featured both of my dresses on location; i chose castle park in bristol, both my models were blonde and pale skinned.
black lipstick and hair clipped back to one side with black leather shoes both strapped although they were of different lengths.
the model in my black look is wearing fishnet socks to vamp it up while the model in red has bare legs.
i am very happy with the outcome the location was perfect, models listened to my directions, the weather stayed dry for enough time aswell and i feel ive produced an intresting image.
just like the work of Dean Karr i decided to slice the image and move it so that the orientation was a few cm’s down, and then put it back together and repeat on the end. Ive altered shadows, highlights, contrast and lightness to create the image.
Music for fashion show.
i found this a few weeks ago when looking through random youtube viedos and when i heard it i instantly new it would be perfect for my collection.
it has a slow, smooth beat, the lyrics are sung in a relaxed way, the artist seems very sure of themselves, powerful, her voice is hypnotic hypnotising the models as they walk down the catwalk. i individualise the artist whispering into the models ears, as the evil in them moulding them to do what they want.
this is perfect for my fashion show as the idea that i wanted to create was that of an evil force controlling the models to do what they want, to forget religion and any good/pure proximity.
red dress photo shoot.
To remove an identity i must identify what physical attributes show it.
4 physical attributies that identify identity are eye colour, hair colour, facial features and finger print.
everybody in the world has a different fingerprint, eye colour and facial features with hair colour being the exception which a person can change. Masking these attributes will allow me to create a void person; i can hide eye colour by covering it with hair, hair colour with the same coloured hair for my models, finger prints with gloves and facial features by using similar looking models.
i want models whom are a mirror of one another.
ive chosen my models so that they are both very slim, similar height, hair colour, face features and bodys are similar. this along with mirrored styling will go towards creating ‘twins’ to walk down the catwalk together.

Definitions of identity sourced from the internet.
Identity (social science) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopaedia
Identity is a term used to describe a person’s conception and expression of their individuality or group affiliations (such as national identity and cultural identity). The term is used more specifically in psychology and sociology, and is given a great deal of attention in social psychology. The term is also used with respect to place identity.

Definition of Social Identity
Social identity theory compares how behavior and identity vary situationally based on people’s fluid concepts of themselves as either individuals or as members of groups. It posits that people inherently create and identify with groups, and will promote their groups to the detriment of others. The theory was developed by Henri Tajfel in the aftermath of World War II, where he witnessed behavior by soldiers and other members of Nazi Germany that violated ethical standards they would have defended as individuals. Mob behavior and group genocides are sensational topics of social identity theory, but the theory is also applied to the study of social mobility, political science, sociology, and marketing — wherever individuals subvert their identity or opinions to their perceived norms of the group.

Model - Beth Davies.
Here the model is wearing a crop top and high waist skirt that i have made out of black ducheese sateen.
She is wearing black ‘destroyer’ boots named ‘attitude’ appropriately, a cross ring placed on the hand so it is a Antichrist and black lipstick to symbolise power/evil/emptiness.
she is praying. this is a action in contrast to the title of the project her light blonde hair and effortless up do also contrast to the seriousness and complexity of the shoot. her arched leg reveals her right thigh, making the image more risqué/sexy .
I have made her eyes all black, to symbolise emptiness and the model being a empty vessel open to manipulation.
An image from a photo shoot yesterday.
My model - Beth Davies is wearing a dress that i have made, my leather boots appropriately named ‘attitude’ fish net tights for attitude and sexual lure, black lipstick to symbolise death/evil/power and triangle shaped gold earrings, symbolising power, wealth and an un-breakable submission.
The model is posed knelt on the ground, as if she was praying or whimpering (cowering away from suggestion/prompt towards a path) but she has turnt her head around looking at the viewer , she has been disturbed and is angered or startled.
the iris has been blured out to remove the idea of identity leaving her with just a white empty eye. ”the eye is the window of the soul” thus getting rid of the eye removes the soul.
http://social.jrank.org/pages/666/Twin-Studies.html
ive selected my models so that they are very simailar looking, to represent twins.
this relates to my work as twins after the movie the shining and its popularity have had an novelty of there similarities being something of an odd somewhat bewildering nature.
twins especially identical twins are clones of themselves, illiminating the idea of every human being unique.
the loss of an unique identity assosiates with a human as a blank canvus, a vessel open to manipulation.
-identical twins and a vessel open for manipulation, in the case of my project the manipulated idea of antichrist/evil fashion-

photos from a photo shoot on the 21st may.
this is the first garment out of two that i have made and these are the raw unedited images.
i worked in collaboration with a fellow student ;Emillie Hawes.
Emillie photographed and directed with me, i also styled and directed. this was a fun way of working, as i would like to have a career in fashion stylin working alongside photographers and being to collaborate minds is essential. I discussed the concept of my collection and Emillie in turn researched the genre of gothic fashion, my isparations for creating the dress and photographers whom photograph in the genre.
during the shoot i really enjoyed having to work with some body along the same wavelength and me not having to photograph the dress myself left me to be able to direct the model to produce some well thought of images.
Change in dress colour
Ive decided to change the colour of my second garment. Partly because I couldn’t find a rich enough purple, but mostly because upon thinking about what I want to bring across in my work i found that a deep wine red would be more satisfying. Red being the colour of love, lust, sexuality and of a sinister more horror refernce the colour of blood.
The red works much better and together the two colours i think give a vampire esque dramatic vibe.
